Zia Pochkhanawala

Zia is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Hailing from India but having studied in India and Australia, taught Psychology, and worked as a mental health counselor for high school students in India and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zia's interests lie in Global Competence and Multicultural Education. Her passion and advocacy for the importance of global competency in teacher education forms the crux of her research. Due to her love for theater and taglines, Zia is constantly on the lookout for contemporary and innovative pieces, performances, and quotes.
