Sixto Ivan Arias

Sixto Iván Arias is from Long Island, New York, and is an Ed.D. candidate in the Moody School of Education's Learning and Organizational Change (EdD-LOC) program. He earned his BA at CUNY Queens College and his MA in Higher Education Administration at Stony Brook University, State University of New York.  His dissertation explores the experiences of food-insecure students as they make meaning of their academic experiences while meeting their basic needs. He previously served as the representative for the EdD-LOC program and as a member of the Online Community Committee. As chair of the Online Community Committee, he is passionate about ensuring that online graduate students, regardless of their program, feel included and engaged in the Baylor Community.
