Raquel Aguilar Murillo
- Vice President of Operations
Raquel Aguilar is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Originally from Costa Rica, Raquel spent ten years teaching K–6 in both Costa Rica and the United States before diving into her doctoral studies. Her research focuses on understanding and supporting the translanguaging and multimodal practices of emergent bilingual students in U.S. classrooms. Raquel is looking forward to continuing her work with the Graduate Student Association this year. After serving as her department’s representative last year, she is joining the executive team as the Vice President of Operations. When she isn't busy with research or GSA duties, Raquel loves going to concerts, reading, cooking, and taking her dog for long walks.
