Mary Pickler

Mary Pickler is a registered dietitian and current PhD candidate from Columbia, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina (go gamecocks!) and her master's and dietetic internship graduate certificate from Winthrop University. She is currently in her fourth year at Baylor University, studying the relationships between the menstrual cycle and hormonal birth control on body composition. Mary has been the GSA Representative for HHPR for two years and is excited to serve as the Collegiality and Community Committee Chair for the 2026-2027 year! She hopes to foster a sense of community and belonging for graduate students outside of campus and their academic programs.  When she isn't in the lab or teaching, you can find Mary at a local bookstore adding to her ever-growing TBR stack or hunting the Waco area for her next sweet treat.
