Ph.D. Student, Environmental Science
Joseph is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Environmental Science department. His research interests include contaminants of emerging concern in water. He was born in South Korea and partially raised in South Korea, Tanzania, and Kenya. He earned his BS in Secondary Education and Chemistry at Calvin University in May 2020 and worked as a high school science teacher in Jakarta, Indonesia, before coming to Baylor University. He is interested in addressing the transitional difficulties experienced by international students at Baylor University, as well as creating supportive communities within the graduate school. When Joseph is not working at the BSB, you can find him playing racquetball, basketball, and soccer around the campus.
