Kelsey is a former Reading and Language Arts teacher and a Holocaust and Human Rights educator who worked in secondary public education for seven years. She now works teaching and mentoring preservice teachers hoping to go into the field. Her research interests include decolonial studies, decolonizing literacy practices, and mentorship practices for preservice teachers. She lives in Austin with her husband David and their two babies—two dogs, Gracie and Louie. When she is not teaching school, she is teaching yoga as a registered instructor.
